The "nub" of this blog is to bring Rome, the Eternal City, to Wisconsin, the land of milk and honey. I'm a priest of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, newly ordained, and assigned to Holy Family Catholic Community in Fond du Lac by summer, and to studies in biblical theology in Rome by autumn, winter, and spring. Hopefully this blog bridges those two realities in some small way, and gives the good people of Fond du Lac a glimpse both into Rome, the heart of the Universal Church, and into my own heart and life as I study God's Word in this city of popes and martyrs.
